Volunteer
Often, the best thing you can give is your time. At Safe Place Foundation, we’re always looking for community members with extra time or skills to help us around the houses. Here are just a few of our current volunteer opportunities:
Landscaping at both of our houses
General repair
General maintenance
Anyone can volunteer! We just ask volunteers under 18 to have supervision. We have ongoing needs, so welcome help one-time or on an ongoing basis!
Have a group that would like to help? From the Boy Scouts of America to high school clubs, we welcome working with community groups. It not only helps the club members and students make a difference right there in their Cedar Rapids community, but it also helps our small staff in incredible ways. Even just a few hours can a have a huge impact on so many – the volunteers, our staff, an most importantly, the men we are all trying to help on the road to recovery.
