Kyle’s Story

When I moved into Safe Place at the end of 2015, I was what people in recovery would call an alcoholic of the hopeless variety. Alcohol had influence over every decision and action in my life. I had tried many other things to get past my problems with alcohol but had finally reached a point where I was convinced, I needed help if I was ever going to have anything resembling a happy life.

The staff at Safe Place not only gave me a place to live but provided me with financial resources, guidance in recovery, and encouragement as well. The staff here and the people I have met in the recovery community have given me the tools to rebuild my life. I can honestly say that I now have a satisfaction and peace in my life I never thought possible.
